Facebook Like box Widget In Blogger

Method-2:

In this way, you have to create your own facebook fan page via facebook developer. After creating the facebook fan page, you will be able to generate your own iframe code to embed the facebook like box on your blog. This is also very easy method. It needs few more clicks than the method 1. Let’s do it.

1. Go to the facebook developer page and log in with your facebook login details.

2. Scroll down a little bit. If your fan page is associated with the logged in facebook account then this will get your facebook fan page URL automatically. Otherwise, you can copy your facebook fan page URL (As like: https://www.facebook.com/facebook/) and paste it into the “Facebook Page URL” box. Here is a screenshot:

3. If you wish to show your fan page timeline right after the like box then leave the “Tabs” section as it is. Otherwise, remove the word “timeline” from the box.

4. You can also decide the custom height and width for your facebook like box but I recommend to leave it blank and check “Adapt to plugin container width and Show Friend’s Faces” boxes. (See the screenshot above).

5. If the configuration is done then click on the “Get Code” button. A popup box will open. At the top of this box, you will see the “IFrame” link. Click on that. Now copy the iframe code as shown below.

6. Login to your blogger account > Go to the “Layout” section > Click on the “Add a gadget” link of the sidebar or where ever you need to appear your like box > Add an “HTML/JavaScript” widget > Paste the code into the box and save your template. That’s it.

Now go to your blog and refresh it. Hope you will see that your facebook like box widget is working properly on your blogger blog.

3. A new popup window will open in front of you. Here you will find an orange button named “Download Full Template” Click on this and your blogger template will start downloading on your PC.

4. The file will be in an XML format. You can rename this file after downloading for easy remembering and access it too.

Restoring Blogger Template

Aftering backing up the template now we can proceed and see how to restore blogger template in a step by step way:

1. As you have done above, Go to the “Template” section.

2. At the top right corner, you will be able to see the “Backup/Restore” button.

3. Click on this button. The Same popup window will appear before you (Method 1: Step 3).

4. Now click on the “Browse” button and select the downloaded blogger template(The XML file) from your PC.

5. Click on the upload button and you are done. Within few seconds, your blogger template should be restored.

Backup And Restore Blogger Template (Copying & Pasting):

Now let’s see another method to backup and restore your blogger template. In this method, we will directly copy blogger template codes and paste in a text file on our PC. Let’s see how...

1. Login to your blogger account.

2. Click on the drop-down arrow and go to the template section. From here click on the “Edit HTML” button as shown below:

3. You will see your complete blogger template codes here. Copy the entire code and paste it into a text file on your PC. Save this file and you are done.

The text file will be saved in your PC(any folder you saved it). Whenever you want to restore the blogger template, you will have to open the saved text file on your PC. Copy the code from the text file and paste it in the blogger HTML area (From where you have copied the code).

Click on the “Save Template” button. Everything looks okay? Your template is restored.
